In the SDG MEDIA CAMP, 25 journalists from 5 countries (Belarus, Germany, Moldova, Poland, Ukraine) research beyond their national borders on sustainability topics (Sustainable Development Goals SDG, climate change, circular economy, biodiversity, sustainable agriculture and forestry, sustainable tourism, sustainable urban planning and construction) and support each other with insider knowledge and expert contacts.

The SDG MEDIA CAMP offers lectures and discussions with experts from all 5 countries on sustainability topics as well as practical tasks and interactive exercises. During meetings in Riscova (Moldova), Eberswalde (Germany) and Krakow (Poland) you will be able to visit various environmental organizations, entrepreneurs and research institutions, and gather material for your journalistic work. With trainers and environmental journalists from all five project countries, you will exchange ideas about your topics in editorial meetings, collect material and conduct research together across countries on sustainability issues. After each offline meeting, you publish one journalistic material - at least one of it should be a joint cross-border material.

Media Camp II (Eberswalde / Germany): September 3 - 9, 2023 (Dates including arrival and departure days)

Media Camp III (Krakow/Poland): October 7 - 13, 2023 (Dates including arrival and departure days)

Online-Meeting: October 19, 2023;  6.00 – 7.30 p.m. CET

Online-Meeting: November 16, 2023;  6.00 – 7.30 p.m. CET

Presentation of results (online): December 19, 2023, 6.00 – 7.30 p.m. CET

Supervision of research projects and publications (online): June to December

The trainers of IDEM and the partner organizations support you in finding topics, expert contacts, in developing research plans, and the preparation of the individual and cross-border media publications.

The application deadline is April 23, 2023
